| mm. well our defensemen arent so important since.. our defense isnt that good anyway. plus.. none of our defensemen really stand out.. though i would like to at least keep malone. but if we:re to continue on as a good team and to win the cup.. we:re going to need Fleury or someone as good as him. Fleury is a good goalie in my opinion.. and alot better than most goalies in the league. I mean.. philly people always talk about biron but personally i think biron sucks. IMO he:s not in the same league was Fleury. Not that Marc Andre is the next Brodeur but he holds down the house pretty fuckin well.
I:d also like to see Hossa return but i realize the salary cap issue and hope we can pick up a slapshooter with some experience because Hossa:s role was to score goals. Thats why Crosby and Malkin get so many assists and also helps free up Crosby and Malkin to carry the puck around and set up chances. But like i said.. i want us to pick up someone with a lot of exerience so we can be effective in next seasons playoffs. If we pull in another rookie or someone that hasnt had much time if any at all, in the playoff atmosphere.. then they:ll just be dead weight.

Red Wings also snatched Ty Conlkin (Fleury's backup)... Throwing the grandpa away (Hasek).
Just like I said, Detroit will remain intact but it will also get the chance to become even more powerful.
Zetterberg and Datsyuk are both still way cheaper under contracts for the Red Wings because they were drafted from a very far round and stuff...
